A couple new Items have come to light. Amps have not been selling muc. There are a few things here that might be of interest to y'all though. The acoustic amp is a steal. The little practice amp is a small, inexpensive way to get a piece of Humidor memorabilia, and that Crate cabinet sounds great!! I think this one used to be mine, and I really hated to sell it. Looks great with that Custom Vibrolux Reverb too!

Fender Acoustasonic Amplifier. (The top one) (SOLD) Great little acoustic amp. Built in reverb and chorus. Two channels. One instrument, and one Mike input. Cabinet is designed to set straight, or to angle back like a monitor. Really cool little amp. I've played through this and it sounds killer! $175.00

Crate Vintage Club series 2-12 Cabinet. These things sound so good, that I tried for years to get Crate to sell me some of the speakers they were using, but I never could. I can't find any listings for finished auctions on eBay, so I'm going to guess. Only $150.00

This is what Tone looks like... Just in case you were wondering.

Whaaaaaats up with this. It's a $40.00 Crybaby,(SOLD)  and a piece of the Humidor.
Whaaaiii doesn't somebody buy it??

Cool little practice amp (SOLD )for somebody who wants something but can't afford a lot.
Neat little Squire practice amp. Comes complete with the smell of fine cigars. No extra charge. $20.00

Extra Extra!!!

Also, If you're getting a guitar, how about a guitar stand for only $5.00 (ALL SOLD)
If you're getting an amp, I also have one amp stand left for $20.00

Finally, cigar boxes are also available for sale. $5.00  for regular ones, $10.00 for wood. They make great little mementos, and they're cool, affordable, and functional. What a deal!

Shirley is currently tied up with something, and can't get the auction house down here right away. This isn't a sales pitch, but it does give us all a couple more days to see if we can find something that we want. Remember that this money all goes to help out Shirley and hopefully help her re-open the humidor. I don't know about y'all, but I've been wanting a cigar ever since I heard the news about Rob.

Shirley has dropped several guitars by from the house. I believe these are the last new guitars we will be seeing for sale on the blog. These are as cool as some of the best stuff from the shop. These guitars are not for sale yet, but most of them will be soon, and I wanted to give everybody a chance to see them now. A family member is coming by tomorrow to find a guitar that was played by his Uncle Rob. After that, I will be pricing and preparing the remaining guitars. Please don't wait, as Shirley really is planning on sending the remaining guitars to be auctioned along with the bicycles soon. Please feel free to get in touch with me if you have interest in anything else that Rob might have had that you would wish to purchase, and I will get in touch with Shirley.

Dean Wood Body Resonator with pickup. (SOLD)This was a surprise. It looks brand new. Plays great. Somebody should buy this one for sure. $260.00 With Case

Takamine F-300 (SOLD) Solid top 000 or OM size guitar. I have to check the date, but the flat top headstock means sometime in the 70s or 80s when Takamine was trying to look just like a Martin from a distance. This is a very cool guitar. Comes with the original hardshell case I'm gonna say $300 with a new set of strings, this would be a great guitar!

Another eye opener. (SOLD) Fender bought both Guild and DeArmond at around the same time in the early 2000s I think. Anyway, they took some of Guild's archtop guitar designs, made beautiful import versions of them. put DeArmond pickups in them, and called them DeArmonds. The DeArmond guitars didn't last long though. They sold like hotcakes when we had them at the store. They are very good guitars, and somewhat rare. I think Fender stopped making them either because the quality was too good, or they cost too much too make. Either way, these guitars were great. Very Large Body arch top guitar with two Dearmond hum bucking pickups in a beautiful sunburst. After I checked on it, I couldn't believe what these are selling for (If you can find one) $450-$500. This one comes with the original hardshell case.

This Alvarez is probably spoken for. (SOLD) (TOLD YA) From the home collection. Still thought you might want to see it. Very cool small body electric acoustic cutaway with (I believe) Koa top, sides. and back.

This one has actually been here for a while, but it got covered up in the shuffling of many guitars and didn't get into the pictures. This Danelectro Longhorn guitar. (Any Longhorn fans out there?) Has a unique body shape, Two lipstick tube pickups, and a 31 fret neck. Danelectro billed it as a guitarlin. (Guitar/Mandolin because of the extra range) $250.00 No case, but it does come with a cool "department of corrections" strap

Morrell 6 string Lap Steel with Kent Armstrong Pickup. Get a metal bar and go wild.
Comes with a case $125.00

Checkmate. (SOLD) If you ever went into the Hill Country Humidor, you know this guitar. This guitar set out on a stand across the aisle from the register. It is not an expensive guitar, but Rob must have kept it there for a reason. It looks like it has been played a lot. Had a capo on it too which seemed to say Rob may have played this one a bit. A customer was talking to me earlier and said he thought Rob spent a lot of time with this one too. $200.00

This is a Seagull 12 string. (SOLD) Great playing twelve string. Made in North America (Canada) This is one of the prettiest Seagull 12s I've ever seen. More info after I get a chance to play it.  Only $275.00 with a hardshell case.

The Dean Guitjo has sold, but I wanted to post a picture just for those of you who remember it. Rob told me he took the resonator off the back of the Guitjo because it was  ridiculously loud and removing the resonator cut the volume. I was digging through some stuff at the shop yesterday, and I found the resonator. For some reason, I got all choked up.

There were a couple of pedals and tuners left in the shop. The two danelectros are currently on hold, but the tuners are available cheap, and the Crybaby Wah
That's it gang. I do have one speaker cabinet here. It's a 2-12 Crate vintage club cabinet. I always loved the sound of these, and used one for several years. This may even be mine. I'll try to do one last picture tomorrow when I edit this blog and set prices on stuff. Don't forget the items still left from the earlier posts. If you ever wanted a Telecaster, Rob had several that were just incredible. Check em out.

I got the custom Vibrolux reverb cleaned up. It's absolutely beautiful and sounds great. Comes with the original factory cover and footswitch. Unlike most Fender amps, this one also has Reverb and Tremelo ON BOTH CHANNELS! It was designed to be extremely touch sensitive. Turn the guitar volume down and it cleans up. Turn it up and it breaks up just beautifully. Wish I had the money to buy it. Please, somebody call me on this amp. It sounds incredible and looks great too. I don't want this to be auctioned off and sent to California or New York. This is a good one! I remember that Fender marketed these as "designed in the Custom Shop, made on the line" It was a production model of a custom shop design. I have owned many vintage Fender amps over the last 40 years. This amp has that same kind of mojo. If you don't want it, buy it for me!!!! Somebody has found one for sale online at a lower price, so I'm taking it down to $775.00. It won't be long before everything goes to the auction house. Don't wait. If you're interested in something, Get in touch with me ASAP. Texas State is on break. I am available to meet all week day or evening.

Around two months ago, my friend, Rob Robinson passed away unexpectedly. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
I have been asked by Rob's wife to handle requests from other friends wanting to purchase one of his guitars or amps. I will be posting pictures of the instruments for sale, and I will be listing them along with what I feel is a fair price.
I will be entertaining offers, but I would hope that Rob's friends would be respectful enough of Shirley, and of Rob, to offer a fair price. The money will be going to Shirley to help her with expenses and to help finance the reopening of our beloved Hill Country Humidor.
Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in any of the guitars or amps shown here. The blog won't be up forever, as Shirley has made arrangements to auction the guitars off through an auction business. She has however, decided to give Rob's friends and customers a chance to own one of the instruments first.
I can be reached at AndrewGrantMazak "at" gmail.com  or http://www.facebook.com/grant.mazak  if you have an interest in something.

Most of these guitars have never been "gigged" although they were played. Some of them look like they were put in the gig bag and never touched after Rob bought them. The gig bags do have an aroma of cigar smoke. If the aroma bothers you, the bags can be replaced fairly cheaply. It appears that most of the guitars led a charmed life as I see very few dings or marks on them. Many of them come with gig bags, some have hard shell cases, some have nothing. Considering the scope of this project. I just didn't have time to figure that all out. Contact me with any questions concerning cases/bags.

And here they are in no particular order. I will eventually have all the guitars posted here, but I can only do so many at one time.

Here are some new Posts. More to come!

Fender/Squier Jagmaster in silver metal flake with a G&G hardshell case. (case is now on hold) I believe these are the people that make the cases for the custom shop stuff as well as the high end production stuff. The guitar is beautiful and in excellent condition. The case is exceptional. I'm going to do these two separately and as a package. $279.00 for the guitar. $100.00 for the case. $329.00 for both.   I just found out that this case is specially sized to fit a Jaguar/Jazzmaster style guitar. The case has to go with either this guitar, or the Blue Jazzmaster that is currently on hold. Hint, Hint!

Mexican made Telecaster standard with  dark blue metallic finish, and Les Paul style barrel knobs. Also in excellent condition. With gig bag. Cool color, nice guitar, only $350.00

Seagull Coastline series grand. (SOLD This is a parlor guitar with a solid cedar top. It comes with the original heavy duty gig bag. It has a semigloss finish and is in excellent condition. Estimated value is $250-$300

Ibanez AH10 Alan Holdsworth model. Very rare instruments now. I could definitely make money on ebay with this one. One hum bucking pickup and a floating tremolo. Comes with non original gig bag and strap. In very good condition. Estimated value. $375.00

Mexican Standard Strat. It's in near mint condition and has a perfect weight and ridiculously low action. Definitely a great player. Really nice burst too. Fender gig bag. Estimated value. $350.00 It's a really good one!

Holy Cow! This thing still has the protective covering over the pick guard. Sometimes when a particularly nice guitar came into the store, Rob would hear about it and come by. I think this was one of those guitars, The finish is beautiful, resonant weight, and the guitar is like brand new. With gig bag. Mexican made Deluxe Nashville Telecaster. Estimated value. $475.00

Squire short scale acoustic bass guitar short scale makes it more comfortable to play. Squire makes it affordable. also in excellent condition. Estimated value is (just a guess) $250.00 (full disclosure, Shirley may want to keep this one)

Japanese vintage reissue tele. (SOLD) Absolutely beautiful. The Japanese make some of the best Fender guitars made. The ashtray bridge cover came from a cache of old, original Fender parts found at the former site of BO's music. It has the brass saddles and is just a killer guitar. The finish is nearly perfect. Comes with a Gator semi-hardshell case. Estimated value. $600.00

Godin fifth Avenue. (SOLD)Very early issue. One P-90 pickup arch top. Jazz on a budget. Excellent condition. Could use new strings. Estimated value. $450.00

Original Danelectro model (sold)1457. Currently near basket case. Currently $175.00 I plan on cleaning this up and turning it back into a real guitar over the next two weeks. Of course, then the price goes up (a little) Stay tuned.

Alvarez baby guitar. (SOLD)  (It's hard to tell from the picture, but this is actually a 3/4 or 7/8 sized guitar.) I have one of these and they are an incredible travel guitar, talented kid's guitar. It has a solid top, and unlike the Taylor baby, it has a glued in neck. It's a real guitar, only smaller. Very high quality and great sound. Estimated value. $250.00 The current model sells new on the internet for over $400.00

This is an older model, (SOLD) very pre Fender, Guild 12 string dreadnought. It sounds wonderful, is very playable, with plenty of saddle left if you want to lower the action anytime in the future. This is another great guitar. Checking blue book estimates online, this guitar got pretty high. but I'm guessing $800.00-$900.00 locally. Needs a new nut, now it's $750.00

Epiphone Sheraton with original hardshell case. It's Purty! Natural finish. Fancy inlays. Great condition as usual. This is one of the imports. Prices on Ebay are all over the place on these. I value it around $500.00

For the frugal minded who want something of Rob's, check out The Memphis Attack Trigger. This is an auto wah pedal. It works perfectly, sounds cool, but the price is low because Memphis is not a big name in pedals. A steal at $20.00

If I could only have one more thing.... This amp is incredible. Custom Vibrolux reverb. Sounds more musical than almost anything I've heard from fender in years. It breaks up VERY musically. It has excellent reverb and Tremelo. 2-10s in the cabinet. I can't find information on one of these with the creme colored tolex. This is obviously some kind of limited run. It really does sound amazing. The controls need cleaned, but I will be doing that in the next day or two. The amp does smell like the tobacco store, but that ain't all bad.
This is easily worth $850.00 I'm seeing some used ones on Ebay selling for $950.00 with the black tolex.

Epiphone studio 10s At first, I bought this was just a toy, but it cleaned up really nice, and when I plugged it in I couldn't believe the sound. You can't tell this from the picture, but It's only about three inches thick and has a kickback stand built into it. Master volume and boost switch so it can be clean or dirty. I wouldn't be gigging with it, but its a really nice little practice amp and for only $30.00 or... make me an offer

Crate BX-15 15 watt bass practice amp. Cleaned up really nice. $49.00

Fender Champion 110 Practice amp with foot switchable channel switching, reverb, and headphone jack. Great little practice amp. $85.00

Fender Blues jr. (SOLD) Probably purchased new at my old store. If so, it's never been gigged or played hard. I will definitely clean up the cover and check the controls. These amps are really popular for good reason. Large enough for small gigs, small enough to play in the house. Easy to carry. Killer tone. $400.00

Charvel model 625C. (SOLD) This was a bit of history. Always set out on a stand in front of the register with a few of Rob;s favorites. I think Rob really liked this one. In the early 90s, the Charvel company made some fancy acoustics. This was the top of the line. Korean made acoustic electric. No case. If you were a regular, you've seen this guitar. I'm not sure how to price this. I'm going to say $350.00 and leave it open for discussion. Remember, It's for Shirley. (When this one sold, I choked up a bit)

The twins... Two fender acoustic resonator guitars in sunburst. The one on the left is a round neck. (SOLD) Play it like a standard guitar or with bottle neck slide. The one on the right (SOLD) is a Squareneck. Meant to be played with a metal bar, sitting face up on your lap. These were also out on the sales floor all the time. Rob loved resonators and these have been played a lot. The cool thing though is that many of these guitars are dirty, but undamaged with no dings or scratches. (Okay, I just found a small separation on the back of the squareneck. If you want one of these guitars, I will sell as is, or clean it up and restring it for you. People are asking $300-$350 for these on ebay, but their usually selling for around $250.00 I'll take $250 for either, but $300.00 would be nice. Customers will understand.

Our friend. This guitar Rob is playing in this picture used to be mine. I bought it back before I even got the blog started just cause I loved it, and I really loved this picture. Every time I would come into the store, Rob would grab a guitar and play me "something new he was working on." It was usually some snaky little groove. I could never learn to play the stuff Rob played. Rob, when I get there, we're going to have plenty of time for you to teach me that stuff. Miss you Bro.

Galveston Semi Solid body Electric resonator. Rob showed me this guitar the last time I saw him. Keb Mo actually plays one of these with a P90 pickup. Only price I can find is $175.00  (P O'B, This guitar is for you)

Alvarez CY116... (SOLD) Everybody wanted this one.

This guitar is a very low budget Fender acoustic. It has been signed by Aaron Allan, Rocky Rodriguez,  Junior Brown, and several others I can't read. It has an "official looking sticker" sticker on it. It's actual value is not much. But it sat in the front of the store on a stand for years and has probably been played by anybody whoever shared a song there. I'm taking bids.

Seagull SA-6 Solid body acoustic electric guitar. These things sound great in live shows, and they don't have feedback problems like a hollow body acoustic. I'm serious. These are absolutely the best guitar I've ever found for live shows with a band. This one comes with a real nice Levy's gig bag too. $450.00

This is a Giannini classical guitar. (GONE) Made in Brazil It's a little rough, and not one of their more expensive models. $100.00

In the early 90s, Danelectro released a reissue of the original U-2. This is apparently NOT MY old one. This belonged to another one of us. These Danos are just great guitars for the price. I love the sound of these pickups. And... This one smells like fine cigars!! $250.00

Godin Acousticaster. They don't make this one anymore. One of the first guitars I regretted selling to Rob. This one used to be mine. I love this guitar. Look at the grain in the neck. Great sounding solid body acoustic. Get loud acoustic sound without feedback. This is a great gigging guitar. It sounds like a fine acoustic through an acoustic amp or a PA system, looks cool, and get loud without feedback. Comes with a nice, gig bag. $350.00

I don't know why this guitar is still here. (SOLD) This guitar is a replica of John Lennon's round shouldered Gibson acoustic electric. It has a magnetic pickup at the end of the neck like Lennon's and an absolutely gorgeous finish, Vineyard is not a big name, but it should be. I'm really impressed by this guitar. It's well made, plays great, and has a really good vibe. Comes with a hardshell case. It's also very affordable at $199.00

Holy Rockabilly!! Fender bought guild in the 90s. Fender started making some affordable guild style guitars overseas. These guitars were called Dearmonds, named after another company that Fender bought in the 90s. Fender stopped making Dearmond. Soon after that, Fender came out with this Squire which looks exactly like a Dearmond X-155, but with the most rockabilly finish possible. It's impossible to find one of these. Let's say $375.00

A few more left people. Still have some speaker cabinets, and an amp head, some effects, and a few more guitars. My thanks to those of you who have been responding with support for Shirley and particularly to those who have bought guitars. Appreciate y'all.
